I just got to try something new!

So I signed up for Vocal point. You get to try products and rate them. It has been a lot of fun! I got to try the new downy stoppables Can I just say AWESOME. Even my husband wants me to keep buying that. Your clothes smell out of the dryer fresh weeks later...LOVE IT!! (The sent me a full size bottle too)LOVE!!!!

But this week they sent me Mott's new apple juice with less Sugar. They gave me a juice box to try and I gave it to Ella. She like it so much she wanted me to try it too. Couponing!!

So I have been Dabbling in Coupons lately!I have to admit if you mentioned couponing a yr ago I would laugh at you and say that takes to much time and you don't save enough to make it worth you time and effort!

But about 5 months ago I started seeing more and more ladies at church posting about coupons and how to get things for next nothing...

HMMMMM! Maybe it is worth looking into if that is the case! I have to tell you that I was a little skeptical then my sister Jen started getting excited about it and we found a few websites that walk you through the process. There wasn't hours of coupon clipping it does take about an hour to sort out your shopping trip but that is worth saving 50+ bucks Right! We watched the little web casts and started trying out the techniques they gave.

On my first shopping trip I mapped out the store sales with coupons and to my shock I saved almost 50%

We found the more we used the techniques we saved more and more.

We aren't calling the extreme couponing show yet...LOL But we are getting better and better every day! My best savings so far is 70%!
We have come up with our own ways for cutting and using coupons that work for us. We also spot deals and let each other know so that we can get all the best deals.
We have also set up mom and Risa too!
I think that even my kids are getting in on the deals too...they are learning that they can get more with coupons Ella lost 3 teeth in the last week and she had money burning a hole in her pocket. She wanted to buy gum...I had coupons! She was so excited to check out and and use a coupon and not have to pay a ton.

I think it is a good thing to teach them to save money!This is my 4 yr old son. He will find coupons and bring them to me. I have taught them that they can save money and that coupons are like money! They need to know that they can save and be thrifty!

I have gotten some good deals!!

I have gotten with coupons and sales together:
razors for free
floss for free
shampoo for free
tooth paste for free
sweet potato fries free
to name a few
ALSO
I have gotten :
Full bottles of finesse shampoo for .90 cent each
BBQ sauce for .42 Cents each
baby flush-able wipes for .62 cents each
and it goes on and on getting things for pocket change!

There are a couple of things I have learned:

#1 stock piles are OK but dont go crazy! Buy 4-6 items at a time so that you can let others get the deal too!
#2 Set a shopping amount limit and never go over that...it is tempting to wanna hit every good sale. Pace yourself there are always going to be more sales every week!

#4 Last but not least you are not ripping the store off...the manufacturer will pay the store they money back for the coupon and every one wins! You buy the manufacturers product the store gets there money and you SAVE!!!

the last few months!

Here is a run down of the things that have happened in the last few months..

#1 Josh was in a car accident. He fell asleep at the wheel and drifted into the truck next to him. The truck won. It was an F 450 utility truck. The maroon XB was totaled.

As for Josh....he had a bruise on his chest from the seat belt...other than that he was not injured..(THANK GOODNESS)!!!! the cars frame was bend at the door hinges and was more work and $$$$ than the insurance wanted to pay. So we are now down to 1 XB again!

#2 Ella Finished Kindergarten. She loved her school and Loved her teacher. She didn't love early mornings. My kids are not Early risers...they like their sleep!

#3 We had a great 4th of July with Risa and Chris and Ivie had her first experience with fire works. She loved them...I thought they might scare her but she is so interested in everything! Risa got some really neat pics of the kids with the fire works it was awesome! We got to have Michael too and it was fun to have a bit of family together for a holiday! It was still in the high 80's that night so it was pretty warm...the kids are in their swim suits trying to stay cool!

#4 Risa and I got a wild hair...and got wild with our hair! I think we have both wanted to go blond again...like when we were younger and had the natural blond hair! We walked to target for exercise and got boxes of hair color....my hair turned Yellow every where and Risa hair freaked out and stay brown every where but her roots that went Yellow....We had to have it fixed!!!! You can see Risa's hair in the 4th pics above....and mine below!

#5 Ella lost her 1st Real tooth...( she had an infection in her gums when she was 3 and they had to pull the tooth on the top) She remembered the tooth fairy and was so excited to get more visits from one! Ella let her cousin Ryan pull it out...she didn't even feel it....she loves Ryan!

#6 a few days later Ella was sitting in front of the tv watching a kids show all of the sudden she yells I lost my tooth...she played with the next loose tooth until it popped out...LOL By the end of the week she had cashed in $10. She was so excited. When we went to the store she bought a hungry hungry hippo game and finger nail polish. She keeps feeling for more loose teeth but hasn't found any yet....

#7 The next big thing is that Brandon has not damaged himself in a few months...and that is a big thing for us!!!

#8 We moved. We made a big move closer to Josh's work. It was a needed thing because the drive was getting the best of him. we are now about 20 mins from his work. We are in a great new church ward. It is multicultural I love the diversity of the people. I was at the church for a meeting and got to hear the Polynesian ward chior practise...it was so amasing the way the music sounded!!!

#9 We got to see Ivie grow for almost a year! she is the funnest, funniest kid. We really miss her giggles and her fun personality. She took over all our hearts and when we left it was like leaving one of our kids behind....But Risa would have kicked my butt if we tried to take her with us...I told her we have to set up visitation...because we need our Ivie fixes!

#10 I have lost weight...I am down 4 inches in my waist 2 in my arms and 2 and a half in my legs...not sure how much weight...I don't have a scale!

Brandon was really excited Sunday morning and he came running down the hall as fst as he could. I was lying in bed and he tried to open the door and and come into see me...But as he opened the door and tried to push it open with his foot he hit the door jam instead.

As you can see in the picture he is happe with the new addition!

Ok so for Halloween the kids dressed upas an Angle and Woody from toy story. Brandon LOVES toystory right now!

On halloween Day the whole family went to the pumpkin patch we play with the animals, fed them, rode the train, had a hay ride and had some yummy food...then home to trick or treat!

After breaking my my toe Risa and her hubby moved in to help us out....I can't drive while in the boot/cast! Now we get play with this beauty everyday!

Brandon is so Fun he makes me laugh everyday...he keeps us on our toes...this is just one of the fun days here in the funny farm!

We were taking pictures for christmas cards...thsi one made me laugh....

I did a good job you got love the right foot second toe in from the big one...the one that is off to the right! yeah it was worse when i first did it...GROSSSSS!!!

I preceded to break it and really mess it up by kicking the table leg while trying to scoot out from the table...so bad that he had to numbing and twist it and pull it out into place...OUCH!

An yet again a week ago I kick the table leg again....I am seeing a pattern here!
this time it was healed enough that i re broke a bit...but back in a boot for the next four weeks but at least I can walk a little bit!!!

Ok so here is the last three weeks in a nut shell. about three weeks ago my mom came into town for Risa to have her baby. the Dr. Made it seem like her might get her going soon but her didnt. We all spent the next week at my house playing the waiting game for the little Ivie to get here. It was fun to spend family time together. Finally on thursday she had another apointment and the Dr said she was ready...but her told her he was going to schedule her for induction and sent her home much to our dissapointment. He set the date for saturday...we were glad because that would make it so Jennie could come( but later it didnt work out..). $ am saturday morning came early and we were off to the hospital to have the baby. Risa was in good spirits s the baby was taking up so much of her abdomin that she was stugggling to breath, eat, sit, stand and lay...but that is all!!!

Her Dr is awesome she got an epidural on a drip and she slept through all of labor and by 4
;15 she was ready to push. we waited about 20 mins fr the Dr and then pushing lasted about an hour and a half...I got to be on her right side holding her leg....it was a new experience for me...

She was such a big baby she wasn't coming out on her own very well. Risa did great. Finally the Dr stepped in and helped and wow she was a big girl.

After Risa's Uterus didn't want to clamp down and she lost a lot of blood it scared me a LOT!!! it took her body about 12 hours to finally clamp down they got the initial bleed stopped but she had a laps in the night...the Dr were worried and kept her at the hospital for several day to keep a watch on her.

She finally came home about 4 days after delivering. She is happy to be home and sleeping and recovering fro the blood loss...and new lack of sleep that wakes her in the night...

I sadly dont have pictures due to the fact that my sister cameras batteries dies so I gave them mine...considering it was their child....

A few days latter I got REALLY sick and was down and out for a week solid and I am finally feeling better. I am still really tired and have the all so fun lingering cough but happy to not feel like a truck hit me anymore!!!

Ella is loving school and seems to be learning well. She is in an all Day kindergarten and being there all day wears her out in the end but I thing it is just what she needed...she learns really well withe her teacher!

Brandon is still getting use to Ella going to School but isn't crying everytime we leave her... However last week when we dropped her off he said "ok lets got to Menas house now mom"! (Mena is what he calls my sister Jennie....I laughted he is a funny guy she lives 2 hours away.)

other than that We are up to our normal everyday activities. Sorry it took me so long to Update it has been crazy getting use to a new schedule.

The first day is the hardest...For mom!( and maybe Brandon too)

Ella in one of her uniforms for school. She is so happy to be going to school. She loves being social and her teacher. she came home telling interesting stories about how they went swimming and did laundry. How ever the early morning thing is not Ella's favorite the fact that she is big enough to go to school gets her up and going!

Brandon is getting use to an early schedule we found him in his room at 10:30 sleep under a plastic drawer rack...Weird BUT funny!!!

Brandon does ask all day where Ella is. He hasn't been with out her his whole life so this is an adjustment for us all!

so the count down begins...2 and a half weeks to go and Ella starts school. she is so happy and I am nervous for her. I just want her to be ready and able and to make friends and love school. She thinks it is soo cool to start kindergarten. she is only 4 and she so little.

WE got all her school needs and now we have to get all her uniforms and shoes. I am not sure how much she is going to love the uniform thing...cuz she likes her clothes!!!

I guess it is mom jitters!!!

We had a lot of fun with Jessie here. We started off her stay with a bang! She lost her tooth on her way to my house. good thing the tooth fairy is on the ball!

the new extra holy smile..

She was so excited that the the tooth fairy knew that she lost a tooth and left her a note. she put all the fairy dust that was in the note in her hair for every one to see!

the went swimming in a really big pool on Saturday then they played in the froggies mouth on Sunday....they needed some relief from the heat it was 110 degrees here that day!

AND YES Brandon is in girls swim suit he DEMANDED it because the girls got to wear one...I figured what the heck he is 2...

we are getting ready for Jessica to come and stay with us for a week give or take. We are hoping if we get the chance to see Allie while she is here...I hope we can work it out! so hopefully I will have lots of pictures and stories to post over the next week!

So here is the run down of the last month or so...In Pictures

We finally got see ally after a yr I think! She was so cute and growing up so fast we all missed her so much and Ella was so excited to have her here again!

Brandon had 2 black eyes...he got over one and then got another one opposite eye to replace it!

he loved having his grand kids around!

We spent the fourth at Jens from Thursday to Sunday. We did fireworks and a ward activity it was nice and relaxing! ( all except the ever draining air mattress we slept on)!

Ok, ok....here is the story. I have been so crazy since we got back from Josh's moms funeral I haven't been putting enough time into this site...But there are pictures and stories to come!

On another note Ella is sick today! She let me know when she woke up. When I asked what was wrong she said her funny bone was broken. When I asked if I could hug her she said no that that would hurt!

Ella and Brandon were playing with josh in Ella's room. They were taking turns getting on daddies shoulders. Brandon got a little anxious on his turn and helped Ella off of daddies shoulders.

After Brandon got on....Ella reached up and yanked him off of Josh's shoulders right as he stood straight up. Brandon flew off toward the bed but hit his cheek bone on the window frame.

It looks far worse in the green blue faze but it went from his cheek up and gave him a black eye. It was right before we were getting ready to go to church so Brandon got to go to church with this new massive bruise...my poor son looks abused so often!

On Saturday we got a fun Visit from Josh's best friend from Utah and his family.

We only got 1 day with them so we made it count.

we went to the Sacramento Zoo.Above is Jason holding Ella and their son Jordan.

We got to see them while we were in Utah and the kids just love to play together. In fact I am not sure I have seen the kids get along with another kid for the long amount of time they had together. Well except Shanda's!

By 5 the kids were done and we packed up and headed for the cars. we went to the Elephant Bar for dinner because there were so many types of food to try we thought it would please every one.

That night we had a fun game of phase ten with a little snack talk and a lot of fun. It was good to see them again. I hope it happens more often. it was a good time. they got up really early the next morning and slipped out while we slept. They were off to more adventures in Cali!

So we lost ( Brandon played with) the SD card that we had while we were in Utah...well I prayed that we would find it. I knew we would and even though it wasn't an instant thing....I just had this calm feeling that we would find it. I mean I know that prayer works and I had faith...No I knew that he answers prayers. As time passed my husband grew ever frustrate and I wished i had it but some how I knew it would turn up. Eventually I kept having promptings that the SD card was in the computer near the card reader. I kept telling my hubby that. He looked on top of it just in case he slid it in there...but no it wasn't there. Josh then was moving the computer around and had his flash light with him. He all the sudden saw a glimmer of something inside the largest card slot. so he looked again and he saw not 1 card but 3 SD cards we had lost and given up on ever seeing again!! Brandon slid them in ...being that they were so much smaller they fell through to the bottom of the tray...WOO hooo.

On a sad not some how the camera lost all the pictures of the kids playing in the snow and we don't have any of them....Much to my disappointment!

so I have been Helping my brothers girlfriend with making aprons for her work. We made this one yesterday and it was fairly easy...we had a pattern that ended up being so simple and east to make. I loved it!
This one I had to make my own pattern and make it by trial and error and it took forever. I made two of this style before we bought a pattern. But I would have to say that it took me out of my comfort zone. I learned so my much more by doing this one and it got so much more confident with my sewing and by the time I got to the patterned apron I didn't think twice about the parts that would normally intimidate me!!!

Easter Morning...

For Easter at our house it is tradition that the Easter bunny hides the Easter baskets. On Easter Morning we all have to go on a search to find our basket. If we see some one Else's we don't tell...shh....we just go back to the hunt!

WE had a Easter Egg hunt at our house this yr. It was so fun. we had invited Risa, Chris, Jen, Jim, Matt and Jennifer and their families over. However with Jim being as sick as he was it ended up with just Matt and I families.

there were 3 kids and 76 eggs to find!
Brandon loved it and Uncle Matt help him find Eggs!

My kids were slow at first But Amira was a pro.

Ella had Her daddy Helping her Gather eggs. She was so funny she just kinda took her time and walked around slowly.

Amira knew What to do and was Fast!

Ella in the End only got about 16 Eggs...but she was content.

Brandon was faster than Ella but would even pick up his toys while hunting for the Eggs. He had a couple of cars in his basket at the End!

I am so frustrated...Brandon my cute son took the SD card out of the computer and well I can't find it! So there went all the pictures of Utah on it! I am sad...it had pictures of there first time playing in the snow...Family and friends and the fun things we did on it!

OK, so I have to still put a hook and eye on the back...but I finish it! It is the first dress I have ever made all by my self. I would have to mention that I notice every flaw and What I consider a mistake. I added the purple bias piping it wasn't in the instructions...and the was interesting figuring out how to make that all fit in. But I did it...and next dress I will know how to fix the mistakes that I cant on this one...for lack of goofing up to bad to be able too!!!

But there it is now to finish all the other quilt tops so I can have them ready to tie over the weekend.... here I go!

So by Thursday I wanted a break. I got up and took off with my cousin Sarah to pick out some cute paper. We were prettying up composition note books and pens. I had been wanting to learn the pens FOREVER. So this Was my chance!

Here are some of the things we did...

this is how you make the Pensfirst you tape both sides of the paper,

then you wrap it tightly over the pen overlapping the tap.

you next heat the tape up with an embossing gun you then quickly roll it into a tray of clear TINY beads.

isn't that book cute!!!

the funeral...

I would have to say that that was the most Different...(that is the nice way to say it!) funeral I have gone to. I was use to us going in and talking about nice thing and memories a few songs and maybe a chance to say good bye till we meet again kind of things.

NOPE!!! Not this one. every one just socialized with each other and ate. They would run into her sons ( my hubby and Tyler) and ask them how they were but...that was it. It was in the gym at the church with tables set up. there was a table with pictures on it ( the body wasn't ready yet).

I felt so out of my element there. But my Husband and her son thought it was great....and that is what she would have wanted...but part of me wondered if they were afraid of getting up to talk! Let just say that neither one of them are super out going! The thought of getting up to talk was scary to them both...so there you go. We ended up talking every thing down ourselves because the ward was not really there to help...nor did they sound like they wanted too. I felt like that ward dropped the ball on a missionary experience with half of the people who were there and I was disappointed. But one lone visiting teach stepped up and did what she could and worked her tail off and I was way impressed with her! She really went above and beyond!!!

By this time it was about 6:30 that night and Ella informed us that she was going home with Tyler to play with there daughter Peri. Can I say that was a weird feeling for me. She doesn't often leave me and when she does it is with people I feel are as close or are my family. Now I know it is Josh's brother but we haven't spent a whole lot of time together and it was just weird. Not to mention I wasn't For sure that they wanted to take her. So we stuck around the area and went for a drive so that we would be close when it was time to pick her up.

We found ourselves in a familiar place...and decided to drop by where we use to live in Sandy. we ran into one of the Burnett kids ( Candice) and chatted for a few hours. Then Tara came over for a few Min's while I hugged their new baby for a few Min's and then it was time to go.

that was the end of the LONGEST day ever...but I feel that the funeral lacked that one thing that people go to funerals for....letting go and I think that my hubby and brother in law didn't get to just have a good cry!!!!!

*******Warning Long and well its long******

A Most of you know we got a call on the 11Th letting us know that they found Josh's mom dead in her bed. The sad part is after we were married Josh worried that this would happen and sense he lost touch with his mom here and there because she didn't have a stable environment we would hear from her when she needed money. He check obituaries often and worried that he would find her picture there. You see Josh's mom struggle with drugs. But a cool thing happened about 2 yrs ago. She got arrested and yes I said cool...You see that was the beginning of her changing her life around. 6 months later she had a stable living place she had a happier attitude and I think that she finally loved being off the drugs. she started calling more often on birthdays and to check on us she would talk to the kids ( I and still not sure if Ella knew who she was talking too). (she is a fan of my mom and Grandma Lorrie who she talks about all the time...) But she would still ramble on and talk. So I would have to say that that call was a it of a shock for us ALL!!

the next two days were filled with packing funeral arrangements and tying up loose ends here. I would have to say at this age I never thought that I would have to plan a funeral and Josh wasn't sure what to do with himself at first. I had heard that that autopsy took a while but not hers they found the cause of death quickly. She died dues to a asthma attack that was aggravated by smoking. We think she must have been sleeping when she had it because she had inhalers all around her.

they released her body the next day and told us we had to get e mortuary to pick her up...I was here and his brother was on the road so I started calling mortuary's and found one that I thought we could all agree on. I called his aunt and his brother and suggested the place. His brother wanted to check the place out first. His brother was struggling Bad...bless him! He was trying to stay so strong...but hay its your mom who isn't going to cry. The though of loosing my mom after hearing this mad me hurt inside. I think as part of his grieving Tyler ( Josh's brother) need to do his part and deal with the funeral. he called us the next day and agreed to the place and we had them pick her up. Now that she was taken care of we could go. We loaded up our car that night and left the next morning. We made on quick stop in Sacramento and dropped things off to my sister that she was going to take care of for me!!

The road...ugghhh took 14 hours to get there...I have a bruised tail bone and the kids were bored after Elko and done with the trip!!! We stopped to eat there in Elko...but only the casinos were open that was the smokiest dinner ever and the kids kept pointing at the "games" and couldn't understand why only adults could play...after all the were "games"!!!

Finally at 4:30 in the morning we rolled into Lehi were my aunt lived...she let us commandeer her spar room for what seem like to me FOREVER!!! the first thing the next day we dropped the kids off to my cousin Mel ( thanks again Mel you are the best) so we could go to his moms house to find her social security card so that they could issue a death cert...In fact they wont do anything with her until there is a Cert! So we were making a mad dash to find it. We actually stumbled across it rather quickly and made it back to pick up the kids in time to go to the mortuary to do all the last bit things to get the cremation on its way. We went out to dinner with his brother and Timmi his wife that night. It was nice to slow down and catch up with each other.

the next day we went to his brother Tyler's house to plan the obituary and funeral. that was a mad dash because when we talked to the people there they said we had to have it in in 30 Min's or it wouldn't run so there was a mad dash for the next 30 Min's to get it in. We got the writing in but not the picture but the newspaper was kind and let us run one down there late and get it in. I was grateful that they did it was something that Tyler really wanted!

Tuesday we got up and ran off to get the stuff for the program done. we had to run back up to salt lake first thing and grab a picture then back to Orem to my aunts work and get it all scanned and into the computer. it took a few hours sand we were set. We had to go find paper and and get a few thing for the funeral. that evening I stopped at my aunts and uncles house and we hung out with them for a few hours before heading home to rest the next day started early.

OK so this morning I talked my cousin into cutting all of our hair.First I got colored and then as the foils were in my hair...Josh got a complete buzz and a beard trim...he looked great. Then Ella got a trim with some layers her hair it is so cute. Next Brandon got his first hair cut.
After Brandon got done my hair was finished up by a cut and my hair being done...I loved it. The kids loved that they got to play with Shanda's kids the whole time....

After this was the funeral I will blog about that tomorrow!!!

We got a call last night from the SLC police department to let us know that Josh's mom had passed away.

we will be heading off to utah some time in the next week. I will update more later.

We finally got an answer about josh's moms Cause Of Death!

Josh's mom died of a severe asthma attack. We believe that she died in her sleep. She was 58 yrs old and way to young to go! She had been struggling with breathing but she thought she had it under crontroll with her inhalers...but it was to bad of an attack!

Josh is dealing with it the way any one would loosing their mother.

We will be leaving in the next day or to to take care of her funeral and her home. If you have any questions you can call or leave comments and we will try and answer them!

So my sweet girl gets to start school this next school yr. I have been looking at the schools around and was a little nervous when I found out that Ella was going to be in a K-8th grade school. She is already intimidated by the idea. So I found this charter school it is like a private school that is funded by the government but they have free range over what they do. To get her in we have to donate 40 hrs (or donate stuff) to the school. They want the parents to be super involved...I think that is great!

O this is a link to the school I have been looking into for Ella. For those of you who have kids in school this may be something to look into. The one thing that may be weird is kindergarten is full time same as all the other grades. They only let 21 kids in the class how ever they can have less last yr it was 7 kids. They have more one on one time with the teacher that way. the Benefits of the school is looking good. I am really excited about it for her...she will have to wear a little uniform I am not sure what she will think of that...

When we found out we were having a boy josh made a build a bear for him. We have had this bear around the house for over two yrs and I have see it many times.

It never stops amazing me how kids look at things so different than we do. Last night I standing talking to my mom as I was getting kids into bed. Brandon walked up to me and said look mom Blues clues feet!

He is talking so much more and using sentences to talk. I showed him a picture of a monkey...he loves monkeys. I asked him "What is this"? he would normally say a one word answer but his answers are complete now. It shocked Josh and I when he said "that is a monkey"!
The kids are growing so fast Brandon seems like he is aging nightly!
We love having this little rascal in our family he is quit the little critter he is so happy and animated just like his sister and getting smarter and smarter every day!

****UPDATE****

a few of you aske me how long it took to get me to this point. It took me about a week to get this point!

This is my latest Project. I have had a few people ask me what I have been working on and this is it!

This is for Ella. We are moving her up to a twin size Bed and we needed blankets to fit it. She is loving the super girl squares. I based the colors off of those squares.

I was trying do decide if I was going to hand stitch it or tie it. I think I am going with tying it with black and pink yarn.

This is the first quilt I have done on my own. I have never done one with so many pieces before! i am really excited to see it done! I have been working on a quilt for me and Josh's Bed. However we are going to get a king size bed and I was making it for a queen... now I have to figure that in and try to figure out what we are going to need to make it a king size quilt...so I have tons more work to do on that...

My friend Ceri is having a baby (boy) and I think I am going to work on a quit for her next! a peanuts baby blanket with a flannel back so it will be snuggly!! ( I will have to get one in the works for Sara TOO...when I know what she is having! ( or had they wait to find out)!)

Any way there it is...is any one working on anything???

I haven't gotten to scrap booking...my garage is still in a state of ciaos!

Here the house we moved into. It is my parents. They have been traveling for work and are not using it. It has sat vacant and they have been working on it for a while.

it is still in need of some tile and all the baseboards and door frames.

we were here during the summer helping put in the lawn and drive way and fixing the yard up!

the next on teh right is the other bedroom. it is a bit bigger and the one we have been in. My parents have been here since we moved in because the job they are supposed to go to isn't ready yet.

this closet has been fixed up. the shelves have been added to make it more usable space!

the kids still call it grandma's and grandpa's but I think when they move onto their job it will make it our house!

The kids have so much more room to play. The back yard is pretty big too

Christmas was fun this yr. they were both old enough to get what was going on.

They were excited about ripping them open as fast as the could they played with them all a little before moving on.

I am not sure if any one saw this on commercials. Brandon and Ella love dinosaurs. We went looking and they were 300 dollars. They were just out of our range. On a strange random decision to visit a wal-mar-t by our house we found this one for 99.00. We couldn't believe it. We decided that that was a great buy and that we would never find that price again. the kids love it. it is so neat it moves and interacts with the kids touch. they can get on it and pretend to ride and and it makes galloping noises. It also its when you put things in its mouth...the kids let it eat there hands daily!!!

My parents were her Christmas day it was kinda nice to spend Christmas with some one we have been alone for the last few yrs!

Brandon is great at hurting himself. This is proof that he is crazy.
the day started with him opening a door and it smacking him ont the bridge of his nose! His eyes watered he actually cried On this one. ( most of the tears were he eyes watering from the pain)

then he was out riding his scooter and hit a bump and the handle bars turned and he got himself in the fore head.

Lest but not least he did the same as a bove but got himself in the lip...It was swollen for 2 days, He looked like some one kicked his butt. I got a lot of questions bout is apperance...but any one who knows him KNOWS he is fear less!

Christmas is coming so fast and I feel like it is sneaking up on me so FAST.

Brandon's birthday party was fun....and of course I forgot the camera in the rush of getting it all together. Jim got pictures and I have to get them from him...for both his birthdays...the last birthday accidentally got deleted.

After that it has all whizzed by.

Busy bee's...

We have been super busy since Ella's birthday. After her birthday we prepared for family to come for thanksgiving. We had thanksgiving on the day before and had about 20 of us there. We ate and then played games like white elephant and bunko. We normally play bunko but my parents wont be back for Christmas so we did the white elephant this time...trying to tie the holidays together.

We left thanksgiving the day for my parents and helped them to get there house in order for renters. We did putty and sanded and primed and painted. It was a busy 5 days. While we were there I got a bad bad cold. It was not fun I was trying to keep the kids busy and having fun sicker than a dog. we got home on Monday and my hubby ended up taking the day off and I slept all day. He couldn't move his arms. It was funny!

That week I spent trying to get better. I still have that lingering cough but I am feeling better. but by the end of the week Ella started to get the cold and I started her on her inhalers ASAP. I didn't want her getting RSV.

that weekend Josh went back to my parents. I opted to stay home. The kids were sick and more content at home. So I was home alone this weekend.

My mom came down and helped me and my sister pump out the 250 cards that I had to do because I won the card contest and I had to have them in by the end of the month. it took us all day because we ran out of tape 3 times. I will get a copy of the card and put it up here... so you can see the way they wanted me to change it!!

By that night the kids were not feeling well at all and I took them home to rest. We rested all Sunday both kids cranky sick and laying around. By Monday Ella was happy to inform me that her voice had come back. It was funny she had been squeaking since Thursday.

We (josh and I) spent the night discussing the possibility of moving to my parent house...an opportunity that is a great option. it is just a ways to drive. My parents offered us a great deal. they travel a lot for work and there house is just sitting there. We are still sifting through the pros and cons of that.

Sunday was Brandon's birthday. He is the Big 2. He has no Idea that it was that day. we didn't tell him. We are doing his birthday on Monday after we get paid. He is to little to know any way so...I figure it is ok. later in life I will have to be more prepared. We have so much crammed into that time. Ella's Birthday is the 16th, Our wedding is the 29th and Branden's birthday the 7th. Not to mention thanksgiving and Christmas and my birthday all in the span of 6 weeks. So I will have to work that out!!!

I have spent the rest of this week taking care of Avon getting my last books out before Christmas and prepping for everything Else....like the fact that we have another weekend at the ole parents. this weekend is laying tile!!!! I have a Avon Christmas party tonight and I still have books I have to get out. UGH!!!! I will spend all of Thursday & Friday prepping for Brandon's birthday on Monday.

So on Saturday I get this postcard from Ella's Dr. wishing her a happy birthday! So I tell her about it and give it to her telling her it was a little early. She was so excited that she hugged it and carried it all day. Every time I would stop at a red light or park she would show people her post card and tell them that they were invited to her birthday party. We went to Jen's house and she had to show them! Ella is a birthday fanatic! she loves the cake the song the presents the fact that every one gets cake on other peoples birthday. She thinks that all birthdays are amazing and when it is her turn all the better!

When I first told her her birthday was a month away and that she would turn 4 she said I don't want to be that old! She was happy With being 3 she thought that is was a good age and wouldn't mind staying that age. I think that turning 4 has grown on her and she is ready. Plus she realized that she would have a party! so now she is counting down the days to her birthday!

Halloween was funny this year.
Last year it was a new experience for Ella that she didn't forget from last yr. She counted the days down...asking every day if this was the day to Trick or treat!

Brandon didn't mind dressing up and even left his hat on every time we dressed him up! I think it was because he was to busy getting sweeties from every one!

Brandon was not sure he was into the trick or treating...we hit a couple of doors where no one was home and he thought we were nuts walking to every house and just knocking on doors and leaving.... UNTIL we got that first bit of candy and then he had an Epiphany! He then ran to every door. Yes Ran. he knew that these people were handing out free candy and mom and dad were OK with that! What is better than that??? he even learned to Say trick or treat Because the people thought it was so cute they would hand him HAND FULLS of candy ( smart kid)!

Ella on the other hand was done after about an hour and didn't even care if she went to any more doors!

So He isn't even 2 yet! wont be for 2 more months and he has already picked up on this.
If you notice he has one pant leg rolled up. He kept getting bugged that it was long and going under his foot. He started yelling Help! so I rolled it and after that he did so well.

He did fall a couple of times!

But for the most part he did amazing for a first try doing this!

The little girl who lived next door was really patient letting Brandon play with her scooter. After about 15 Min's I made him give it back. He tackled her a few times to get it back. I finally had to put him in the house...For the girls safety...Brandon was out for total domination!!!

Ella has been watching me put Brandon's hair into a Faux Mohawk...basically spiking the center of his hair up in a row. She really liked it. So She started begging me to put her hair in a Mohawk. This is the best I could come up with! She loved it. Eventually I braided each strand to each other and it looked more like Mohawk. But I didn't get pictures of that. She also wanted to dress in a Toto and striped tights...it was quite the outfit!!!

I haven't been on here in a bit. We have all had a chest cold and we are finally coming out of it. We have been home a lot and just getting things around here done.

Josh and I have been setting goals together as couples and we have made some super decision money and for family temporal and spiritual needs. We are actually getting more focused. We have dreams of getting into a house but we have to be debt free first.

Setting up a goal and achieving it are by far, two different things. How ever we have been making big changes on how we spend an look at our income. That helps a lot! We don't eat out often and we do not shop for things unless they are needs. We are also trying to pay off anything that is accruing interest quickly. Less money in there pockets and more in ours. We are also starting a savings! We haven't gotten to the saving part yet but, this goal we will get to! As we get things paid off more money will be moving to pay off other bills and into savings. I hoping that by March of next yr we will have all but the cars and student loans paid off. that would be a Major accomplishment.

Our marriage started off with very little money. I think we got use to spending when it was there. Now it is time to save and be thrifty as much as possible. I don't feel that our kids are hurting for anything. I feel that my husband does a great job of taking care of us! I feel that we are content and we just need to get a bigger place to live.

I also have to start thinking about schools. Ella could start school next school year. (EEK)! I want to get us into the school zone of one of the better schools around here. It is important to me for her to go where I know that she isn't going to be held back by teachers having to teach other kids English at the same time. We live in a area that has such I diverse group of nationalities. It is really neat to have so many different types of people. But I don't want Ella held back because of it. I do like that she will grow up with such a diverse group so that she will learn that we are all equal and on the same playing field here. I am hoping by January to get her into a preschool here. I want to get her in for 2-3 days a week but it is expensive! So I have to prioritize!!!

We have just been trying to get our life into focus. I think we both feel that we are making enough money that we shouldn't have to live pay check to pay check. Don't get me wrong we are in no way Rich, not even close. BUT we want to be able to plan trips and not have to opt out because we can afford it. It would be nice to have money saved that we can choose to use on a vacation!!

So we have also made a plan with our tax returns... Yep those are not excluded from my money pinching goals. We need a new bed and we are looking in the king size department. So as part of our goals we have decided that we will purchase one Huge need and the rest has to go to bills and savings....To play another day!!!! We know that we will have to buy everything for the bed including sheets and blankets so it will be a large purchase. We need it! Our kids like to lay with us in bed at night before going to bed. There is not enough room for us all in a queen! We have decided to purchase from Costco or Sam's they have great mattresses and for a great price!!! I am so excited our bed is 15+ years old! It isn't so friendly on the back any more!

Our BUSY Staycation

So a staycation is where you stay home and vacation around the house. Here is what we did!

Our first day we went to the Oakland zoo. IT was a lot of fun but SUPER HOT!

Ella loved seeing all the animals and finding where they were in there cages!
Brandon liked the water trees dirt and BIG animals that he could see with out looking for them! Other wise he could care less
they animals were fun!
they had a lot of critters up close.
I was so afraid they would spit on the kids and then Ella wouldn't go near the cages anymore.

they were eating when we got there. Brandon liked that he didn't have to look for them they were so big!
they had lots of fun things like this for the kids to play with!

Next we went to:

The Seymour Marine Discovery Center

part of the Joseph M. Long Marine Laboratory

we took a tour of the beach and heard about the animals and landscape.
we were very close to the water
it was so pretty there.

they had the bone of a blue whale and a grey whale. it was so cool to see how big they really were.

we got to see some dolphins in tanks.

this one was friendly and would swim around for us. the other one was taking a nap I think!

in side the museum there were tanks of local see life
we saw crabs, bat rays , jelly fish, coral, all sorts of fish and many other things in the tanks.

they had another spot in the tanks where they let the kids touch thinks from the ocean. they touched kelp, seaweed, sea grapes, sea lettuce and other see life!

Yep even star fish. Ella was super freaked out by these. she would only hold it long enough for a picture!

On Wednesday we went to the SAN FRANSISCO ZOO.

Now I am sure you are wondering why we went to another zoo like place. 2 reasons.

#1 Ella begged to go back to the zoo.

#2 we went because it was a "free zoo day" however we happen to go on the first day they switched it to only San Fran residents...oh well we were already there so we went!

we liked this one so much better.

the cages were nice and they made it easier to see the animals.

they had fun spots all over for the kids to take pictures and do things.

of course Brandon was still interested in the dirt water and trees!
that girl walked into the picture and wouldn't leave even though she could see we wanted to take a picture...she was trying to get behind the kids on the lion....Weird!

we took Thursday off and ran errands and got the house straightened up and Friday we went to the jelly belly factory and we took Jessica with us. we had a great time. it was really neat because all the workers were there and we got to see every one working and how ti really works. The kids were super excited at the end when they gave them a free bag of Jelly belly's!!!

busy vacation~

Not that it was a total vacation! I went to Utah on Friday night. I would have to say that I never stopped. I got up Fridays morning to help pack up the house that My sister and her husband were moving out of!

Then off to Shanda for a extreme cut! I cut off A LOT of hair! I would say close to 2 feet give or take a bit! I think next time I am going SHORTER!!! I love it!

After my make over I was off to do business. I signed up Ronda and Rees to sell Avon! It will probably be the Funnest appointment ever I laughed really hard!

we relaxed after that and caught up on old times and laugh and giggled a lot!

Then next day I taught Ronda, Sarah and Connie a new quilting technique. we made two lap size quilts. I really was bummed that it went by so quick there was so much more I would have liked to do. I wanted to play longer But i had made plans with my mom to go see Momma Mia. that it was funny and I love ABBA so it was fun to see it based in a movie.

the next morning I was up by seven trying to help pack up the house and get it into the moving truck and then clean the house. I was trying to do it as fast as w could in hopes of going back down to play with Ronda and Sarah longer....needless to say it took so much time that I barely had time to shower before being off to the airport...ARRGGGG. Now I want to go back and play again but for a hair longer.

The plane ride home was really fun. I sat next to another girl who was so much fun to talk to. It made the Trip so much fun. I swear after I got off I felt like she was my new best friend! She was so easy and fun to talk to. I felt like I was leaving my long lost friend at the end of the flight! it isn't every day that you meet some one you feel is a "sole mate" for lack of a better word! How ever as retarded as I am I think forgot her name....it had been a long day! I believe it was Meredith (I am sure that is spelled wrong too)! Any way...I thought she was awesome. Not to mention she put up with my long winded talks about life and growing up with patience! she was just fun. So if she is out there and reading this...thanks for a great chat and putting up with me! I wouldn't mind keeping in touch!

Ell was running down the hall the other day with Brandon's sunglasses on she tripped on something and fell HARD the sunglasses flipped up to her forehead and the nose pieces left a mark into her forehead. It swelled for a bit and you can see the left over bruises there even after the Icing it!

Brandon has a death wish and climbs and jumps off of the most horrible things before you have a chance to stop him...and sadly half the time I get there to late to see what his latest conquest is...in this picture he has a huge bruise on his left cheek (this is the only picture that I could find that you can remotely see it)...This one I am not sure what he did!

I thought I would put some funny pictures of the kids this week this is Ella with her toy story harem! Don't you love the attire she is wearing???

He is Really into hats lately and he always wants to wear daddy's hat...he looks so cute in it!

we were at the store a while back and this was on clearance and we were letting the kid try on hats...Brandon LOVED this one...He would freak out if we took it off of him. We call it his pimp daddy Hat!

Ella had to go to the denstist of a fix of an old filling he had given her. He gave her the gas and she was so funny! She kept putting her feet up into thier faces while they were trying to work...she told the dentist that she loved him and his assistant! It was quite funny! She is quite the charactor on drugs!

Brandons Really bad day

Brandon had a bad day on Monday!

It started off with mom giving him a hair cut...A short one...He didn't like that to much. All that sitting still and mom playing with his hair just wasn't fun he cried and wiggled and was not amused! He look like a little man when we were done...I just hope his curls aren't gone for good!
Next after a shower and a cute outfit we went to the Dr office for my 18 month check up. Yup I am getting big! The Dr said that I was super bruised and that she was worried that I might have a low white blood count...she hasn't seen me in action! I am a dare devil! How ever she ordered blood work cuz mom said it is better to be safe than sorry!
I was not amused at what happened next. They took me to another building and I wanted to run and play. I ran back and forth until they called my name and we went back to this little room and a lady told mom that I needed 3 shots...that doesn't sound to bad right. WRONGO...they weren't fun at all and the lady poked my legs 3 times...my dad held me down and I just cried. When it was over I found mom and told her how mean dad was...she understood! She hugged me and we went for a walk through all the big buildings and I got to run!

Next we went to this other building and (I was done with them hurting me) so I ran and played a little while later they called my name AGSAIN...so went to see what they wanted. These two ladies were talking to me and telling me how cute I am then I saw it another poky thing and I let them know I was Not letting that happen again. I put out my biggest pout face and let the the biggest tears I could roll down my face. This lady was far worse that the first one she stuck it in and started to dig around in my arm and I HATED it!

When IT was all over and on the way out of the buildings I ripped off every band aid and tape they put one me...That way they would know I didn't like it at all. I told my mom again that my daddy let them hurt me and she hugged me and then I told dad that I still loved him but that I wanted mom!

After that I got to take a nap and play at the store...mom even gave me some yummy snacks. After that I was ok. But I don't want to do that again!

I have been preparing the stuff for Potato salad over the last couple of days. On Tuesdays I boiled some potato's and then put them in the fridge in a bowl so that when i went to cut them they would be cool. Then yesterday I boiled eggs in the same pan after I rinsed it out.

I put the bowl in the sink and Ran cool water into it ti cool the eggs down and then left it there full of water while I took care of some things.

Yesterday afternoon Ella came running in all excited and Yells "MOM, MOM, THE POTATO'S TURNED INTO EGGS!'

So the other day we had a garage sale at Jens house... I sat out with all the stuff we brought...In the sun! I sat kinda side ways to protect my eyes from the sun. I know I was burned when i got home that night...But when i woke up the next day and only one side of my face was swollen...including my lips I knew that I was stupid for not turning to the other side...So I am super sunburned on the left side and not so burned on the right...I look so dorky!!!

see this cute kid...She has learned to climb things and get into to high things thanks to her 19 month old Brother. Before that she would wait for help....How ever this cute little thing taught Brandon to squish bugs...with his fingers...YUCK!

Sadly she taught his to squish poor little Roley pollies!

the weekend was fun from fire works, to the movies, playing in the water and the Ice cream man the kids had a blast even with all the cleaning and grooming of the yard! wee had to get a new fence the old one fell down!

Brandon has found a new thing to be obsessed with. Toy story 2 came out again and we bought it. We played it in the car for the kids when we were out and about with the kids.

Brandon is so fond of it that anything he finds with toy story characters he goes nuts and carries them around. in the picture above he holding a woody doll and has the toy story 2 book and is watching toy story 2....
the woody doll we got him last night. I think he really thinks they come to life to talk and he gets a Little frustrated when nothing happens after a while...yet he still carries him around constantly. We are looking into getting the actual size figures from the movie. He walks around saying buzz and woody all day. and if he can't find the dolls he he comes and asks me for them...it is a cute love that he has for them...

So today Ella was rifling through her undies drawer and grabbed out a pair that she got from her cousin Jessie they were Grannie kind and Jessie wont wear those. Well they were 2 sizes to big and they came up over her whole tummy. She looks at me and says...these would fit Justin... (Justin is my sister 13 yr old SON)...I started laughing I have no Idea why she picked him randomly but she did...I am sure he would find it funny he is a funny kid!

I have been busy this week! I have been getting a little more interest in Avon it has been kinda nice. I just hope that it leads to more sells. I have neglected my blogs. Not to mention that Jen's family borrowed my camera to take pictures and they had my camera for a week or so. they took some awesome picture's. They had a family night where they learned about cameras and their settings and went off taking pictures. It was kind cool! I will post some I think they did an awesome job!

So this morning We get up and Ella promptly tells me her teeth hurt. I look at her teeth and they seem to be fine! She complained again a little later and when i looked at her I noticed that she was starting to look like she had a fat lip.

When I lifted up her top lip to look again I saw this huge hit bubble on her gums...it was UGLY!

We took her to the dentist and we had it checked out. She had a bad infection and her front tooth's nerves had died. Yep she had to loose the tooth...
The Dr said she would be this way for about 2 1/2-3yrs...That is how long before her adult teeth are ready to make there way in!
She is very afraid of the dentist and freaks out pretty bad every time we go....She did great! she got a little up set when they were draining the puss out but he ripped her tooth out in less than 10 seconds and it was over...That is no exaggeration! so here is the cutie with her new smile fresh from the Dentist! (her lips are still numb!)

I am not sure how many of you know we have been going up to my parents house a lot these last few weekends trying to help get there house ready for potential renters. We worked really hard at getting the new lawn in and it was so hot this is what it looked like after a week...

We got there this last weekend and Josh and dad got the sprinklers fixed and different sprinkler heads put on so that they would cover more of the yard Batter. I was a little worried at what we would see after two weeks but I was pleasantly surprised!!!!

We are home this weekend. last weekend we helped paint the house and Josh and dad got the sprinkler system up and running correctly. It was so hot it was almost unbearable. we didn't get as much done this last weekend but it looked tons better! I did take some pictures but I will put them up later.

Last week we had a heat wave. we don't have air conditioner so it was Hot in and out of the house. I had to get a fan out and spray the kids down with water and the would run in front of the fan to cool off. It was 107 one of the days! I am glad that the weather has tamed down again. The breeze that we have had this week was nice too.

we have been riding the train up to pleasanton where Josh works. the train is the commuter train we have here. the kids love it. Last weekend we rode the train and got to the station and rode the elevator down from the the plat form the doors were glass that the kids were pressed up against them waving Hi to daddy as we rode down the elevator. When we hit the bottom the doors started to slid open and I hear a blood curdling scream from one of my little ones. I look down and Brandon is standing at the door opening and I look and I thought he caught his hand in the door he didn't....then I hear the scream louder as the doors opened up a little more. Ella didn't noticed the doors opening and with her hands on the door it open and took her hand into the opening off the door with it jamming the door partially open with s stuck inside. I dropped my bag and tugged at her hand it was in there tight! I tried to find a door close button and started pushing it. Her had was in there so tight that it wouldn't shut. I tried to pull it again and it was so stuck. all the sudden this lady reaches around me ( mind you there were three people in there yelling at me the whole time freaking out Ella!) so she reaches around and Yanks her hand out... She didn't think that she could shred her hand or break her fingers. She then tells the lady working there that it wasn't in there tight...I tried to yank it out 2 times and it wasn't coming out for me!!! When I told her that it was to tight for me she realized that she panicked and ripped her hand out of a tight situation. I was really mad when she sis it. In the middle of the the Brandon Ran off and some lady grabbed him and took him to Josh Who stood there Frozen Not sure What to do!

So after all that we got her out and checked her hand that was a little red and slightly puffy from being stuck...she was crying hard from being so scared. she ended up being just fine. We Ran off to the Jelly Belly factory and took a tour of the facility.. you get to see the workers working on making Candy while you walk above them them working, Ella loved it and wants to go again...she was so happy to get the free jelly beans at the end.

So after all that we are just Glad to be relaxing at home this weekend!!!

This is the house we were working on.

this last week end josh and Dad laid the little strip in front to separate

the planter from that lawn. I really made the yard!

we planted some more plants.

we added more lily's to the ones that Matt planted and a few shrubs.

Mom wanted a barrel and we go that in and Flowers in it. Josh dad and mom got the sprinkling system in the flower bed and then we laid more sod and Fix sprinkler heads. it took a while...but well worth the final results!

we have been rushing trying to get ready for auntie Risa's wedding. I was rushing like crazy that week before trying to make sure that Jen and I got all the Favors done for the wedding. I had to pack and sort room out for all that we need to bring...including extra clothes for my parents who forgot their luggage. I got the kids and I ready and dressed and sorted only to find out about my parents luggage. I got them a bag packed and all ours packed. I had to go to Jen's to get the favors and extra stuff and then back to the house to get it all in the car to take off. I swear that day was 3 hours long it went by so fast.

Ella got some grandma and grandpa time in.
This trip josh and my brothers helped my dad lay some cement on either side of the house. It was a learning experience for josh I think he liked learning all the stuff he got to do....minus the heat and the sun burns!

After he got fried the first day... this is his new cover all!

Ella got some good playing time in with her cousins that she doesn't get to see to often. This is them playing ring around the Rosie's with Issac "spike".

Ella and Jessica took the rings up to Chris and Risa when it was time to switch rings it was really cute!

When Ella saw Risa for the first time walking down the Isle she gasped and said "Risa's a princess" Really loud. all the people there started giggling and saying how cute she was!

OK so we have been Sick at my house. I went through one thing after another. I am getting over bronchitis Right now. How ever Risa's wedding is drawing near and we have been trying to find out dresses and making Favor options for her. I thought I would show you what we ( Jen and I) have come up with. They picked the Match book favors. We were trying to make it look elegant. What do you think? They are not in the right colors mind you but we were just trying to get out ideas. We will be changing a slight look of the one wee are making!

So Josh and I keep talking about how Brandon is one now and that we need to break him of his bottle and pacifiers. When he got burn we put it off. I know that the sucking is a soother or calming thing so we thought that taking it after trauma would be mean. Well I guess we were wrong. Brandon broke himself of bottle use during his burn time! He was just done! We have thrown them away.

Now I have just got to deal with the pacifier ISSUE! He is in love with them. They are his crutch I am trying to take them away during the day....but he stashes and knows where to find them...I hope this isn't an evil battle.

If any of you have any ideas on what to do let me know! I plan on throwing them all away at once if I cant get him weened another way. I know they are his soothers when he is having a bad night! So any comments would help! Thanks!

This is an update on Brandon's Burn!

it is actually a bit lighter now and looking AMAZING!
these were taken about a week ago.

he has never acted like they hurt him. he has never scratched at them or seem to be bothered by the burn unless we were having the bandages changed. I am not sure if that is because he had to sit there for a long time while they did it or if it hurt...he never cried out like it did!

He is still happy go lucky and playing. His new favorite things are singing and dancing. He is still a climber and still just as curious as he was when he got burned. I fear that he will be one of those boys that you end up in ER a lot with!

I have to admit he is a fun kid to have around and he makes me laugh a lot...

He's Burning HOT!

This is my hot little rocker! He loves to sing. He loves to go to Jennies house where they have rock band and every one plays guitars and drums and sings and he is always grabbing a mic and singing along...well he sings what he thinks is the song...it is SO SO CUTE!

These pictures were taken the day after they got back from Utah. As you can see Brandon is happy to be home and acting just like his normal self....I say this for all to see that he is adjusting and looking great!
The reason I say that is because Brandon receive some second degree burns on Saturday. He was a little to curios and well he doesn't know much about coffee...Now he does!

These are his new Bandages. He has 2ND degree burns down his chest and left arm. You wouldn't know by watching him play! the only way you can tell with his clothes on is that he looks like a muscle man!!!

He only acts like it bugs him is when he gets his gauze changed which has to be done every other day...At the hospital they have a burn unit...Honestly I am glad because I don't want to change it...he is STRONG!

he actually has a T-shirt now that is made of the sleeve material you see here. it makes it allot better. he isn't even on pain meds any more hasn't been for a few days...he just doesn't seem to be phased in any way by it! He is a trooper! any way that is the latest here!

Arizona trip

We had to wake the kids early on friday to go....

we got to grandmas the first night and just relaxed.

This picture grosses me out... think I need to get him a chew toy he thinks he needs to eat josh and I's flip flops! the next day we looked around where they lived and did a little shopping.

that night again we relaxed and grandmas and grandpa's house and Ella took advantage of all the attention from grandma and grandpa!

the next day we went to Tombstone and watched some shows and looked around.

It was nice the kids slept part of the way home it was a nice break of the rush to get there and sorted. They actually did well on the plane. It was a short trip but lots of fun to see a new place and to see my mom and dad. The kids loved seeing them!

Waking Ella

When brandon gets up in the morning he wants his best friend Ella to join him so they can giggle and have fun...he HAD TO WAKE her!

Brandon and Ella both like their sleep. Brandon however is Happy to get up when done...Ella, not so much! Brandon climbed into her bed after I took him out of his crib and sat on her head. He then petted her Face and jumped on her bed and gave her kisses! TOOO CUTE!

Tax Time!

It is that yucky yet, nice time of year. You know the head ache of getting all your tax stuff together. Praying that you did it right and got eveything down right....and then you get to reap the rewards of the money that you get after it is all done! So this yr we did our taxes and were pleasantly surprized at what we were getting back...Mind you we only claimed two in hopes of a greater return..which actually paid off! here is a few pics of what we got with our tax returns...yes I filed and yes we alreay got our money and yes it is already spent! But but it was fun spending it!

This beauty is my new toy at home...this would have cost $1500 at costco but we spent around $500 building it new including my 20 inch screen :)I LOVE!

This is my other new toy my old camera crapped out...and if any of you know me, you will know that I am a picture addict! because of blogging, scrapbooking and my misson I swear that I never leave home with out one! So for 2 months I was shaking and going through withdrawls! Everytime my kids did something cute I would curse my broken camera! so this is my new love!

This is a nicer camera. the walmart here got to many at Christmas for thier day ofter christmas sale and are clearancing them off for $145.00 here. The walmart is trying to get rid of them...and yes I would be willing to pick people up and send them if you are wanting to buy it cheaper here!
