Brandons finger Update

So We finally got our test results back on Brandon's finger. Of the three test that were done the one that was positive was the one that was for herpes simplex 1. So it is for sure that Brandon has a cold sore under his finger nail. the Anti virus meds worked well and it is is all in the scab form now here are the pics...

as you can see the finger is much smaller Less red and it is just a bit scabby like a cold sore would be!!

The ugly truth!

So here is the story... about 9 days ago I notice that the tip of Brandon's finger looked a little inflamed. I wanted to see if it hurt so I pinched his finger lightly to see if it was bugging him and the flinch of pain that come from him made me feel horrible. I took him to Josh and showed him the finger and even though it wasn't to bad I figure I would make an appointment for a day later. The next day we were all in my room and Brandon took a header into my bed frame and gashed his ear open. I called the advise nurse to see what I should do because it was bleeding but not to bad. They had me come in to check his head. I had them make an appointment for Ella and him...Ella said her throat hurt and I had just gotten over strep throat and I didn't want to play with that.

So we went to the Dr office and Josh met us there because the kids were due for some shots. The doc checked his ear and in his ear and there was no damage but the huge goose Egg behind his ear and the cut on his ear. Then I told her about his finger and she said oh it looks I tiny bit infected and prescribed some Antibiotics to clear it up....( Ella's throat culture was neg she was just copying mommy...when Ella would offer me Hard food I would tell her my throat hurt...she just copied me)...any way after 4 days his finger was looking NASTY. I mean it had gotten bigger and and puss infected and there was no sign of it getting better. My Dr. wasn't in so we had to see a new dr. They lanced it and let me tell you how fun that is to do to a 1yr old baby! (They did a bacterial culture from the (CLEAR PUSS) and it came back negative for Bacteria...(hummm)

Ok so this Dr. gave him a antibiotic that was for infections that were resistant to antibiotics...

Into the 4th day of this 2nd treatment this is how the finger was looking....

they are a little blurry but you can see that his Finger is twice its size
when ever they lanced it the cut would split and get fatter...

We went back into the Dr office after the 4th day cuz by now something should have been happening...and there should have been some sort of improvement even at the tiniest level. Now this time we went back to the same Doc as the first. When she saw the finger she was shocked. she pulled other doc's into see...and the were all a little shocked at the look of it after two doses of antibiotics.

there was another Lancing and squeezing...poor guy. they did three more tests one more Bacterial and 2 viral...yes Viral...as in like a cold soar...herpes. They think that he has herpes on his finger tip. The doc brought in a book to show me what it looks like and sure enough the tissue under your fingers can get a "cold sore". ( when I first got to looking at the picture I saw this awful swollen thing that looked like guy genitalia...And I was thinking Oh man poor little guy this is gunna get way worse....then the doc points at a picture on the other page and i realize that I was looking at guys part...Oops I had to laugh to myself about how big of a dork I was)!

So they put him on some Anti-viral meds and for the first time in over a week he slept HARD it freaked me out!

It hasn't even been a day and the finger is less red and swollen....hope full it is all down here from now!

The big ONE!

Brandon had his birthday on Friday...can you believe he is one already? we spent time together and then went to Jens for cake and presents...he like all the attention and the cake!

We actually bought him a tiny scate board that he loves I will try and find a picture of it...he thinks it is a riding toy...we baought him balls and silly stuff like that he loved it all!

4 Already???

Today marks 4 yrs with my wonderful husband. Time flies! Last night as we laid in bed talking we talked about how it seems like such a short time. we have had our ups and downs due to my health and all but we feel that we are lucky! we have had such an easy going fun and exciting 4 yrs! I am so lucky to have found my best friend and some one that makes me feel safe and loved! And we are excited about our growing beautiful Family!

Ella is 3 now!

It seemed like her birthday lasted a week. that week starting about 5 days before her birthday the gifts started coming. she got a pair of brown fuzzy boots. then a couple of day s later she got a island princess Barbie from Auntie Jennie...which she loves! then the next day she got a a box of dress up clothes. that is the picture of her in on of the three dresses! it is way to CUTE!!!

other gifts she got were a purse, island barbie princess the movie, a snap on doll, tinker bell dishes, and Adrick ( little boy that we know) gave her a tinker bell figure and necklace and coloring book. I think she cashed in!
We had a tinker bell theme for her birthday. She got a Tinkerbell cake and table cloth. she is still a little young to do to much...but she was so excited for her birthday. we had a lot of fun!

So these are some picture I have taken over the last week. I thought I would share with you all. so I was every morning I get the clothes my kids are going to wear out at the same time. On this particular morning I grabbed Brandon camo to wear I thought it went well with the dinosaur on his shirt.

So I dressed Ella and Dressed Brandon and thought boy he looks cute in this camo why don't I dress them both in camo together some day it would be really cute....
then I look up at Ella who I thought looked darling that day and realize....I ALREADY DID...I swear I am loosing it some days.....

So this is how they looked. Ella's pirate make wouldn't all come off in the bath so she has eyeliner eyes.

so Brandon has a new pass time. I am sure he is thinking this is far more fun than just playing with the toys...or getting to what he wants...
He started climbing into the toy bin to get to all the toys


he is all over the place these day and has discovered that the cupboards and closets hold hidden treasures. This of course to my dismay...Ella never did this. He has already broken a bowl!

after climbing out of his toy bin he came into the living room where i have a shoe bucket...yes I have a shoe bucket...(it got to the point where every one would come in and just take there shoes off and leave them in a corner so I made this bucket to make me feel like there was some sort of order to the chaos)... well Brandon though he had found a place of interest and crawled right in...

He was doing something in there until I called his name...

the long awaited Posting...Sorry!

OK the story starts about here...This is the card my dad made for his company contest...he won 1st place and 200 dollars! Yes that is what i call a contest...we have been scrambling to find all the stuff to reproduce this card 500 times. So over the last two weeks we have been working on getting the stuff and cutting it all out. It has been crazy with lots of thanks to Ronda and Dee helping us with info and ordering the stuff we needed from Stampin*p.
This same weekend that we were crazy cutting out and and doing the piece work for the cards was Josh and Ella's first daddy daughter camp out...they had so much Fun. They carved pumpkins and Eat food and played. that had a lot of fun(even though they had BIG BIG uninvited SPIDERS hanging out with them!)

So this last Saturday we had Trunk or treat at our church building. The kids were a pirate ARRRRRGGg and a army "guy". they had fun getting the candy...Brandon wanted to run around and play but it was to crazy for that so he drove...

this is his close up...Looking more and more like grandpa every day!!!

other that that we have been working on tying and and stitching quilts trying to get them finished so we can bind them and use them this winter. Kaylee and Makell made a sudoku quilt...way cute i will try and take a pic of them all finished!

other than that Our whole family went through the stomach flue a few weeks ago all taking our turns feeling like crap...that really took its toll! and as soon as i got over it my parents were here and we were off and running with the cards and i haven't really sat still since...

The Latest!

This is a picture of Ella and Josh playing in Josh's ski boarding stuff.

So not a lot has been happening around here. Life is just swooshing by and i feel sometimes that I feel like am getting passed by...one day i look at the calender and it is the first and the next day it is the 10Th. Thus the blogs aren't as often as they should be.

Last night was a fun night Ella thought it would be good to puke every hour or so all night long. so through the night josh would hear her first so he was generally the first to run...It sounded like coughing at first and I think my mommy ears have kinda put that into a she OK category and i sleep through it unless they are bad coughs. But I do jump when i hear the throwing up part and Josh would be there with the "puke bucket" we put by her bed.

She is doing better today and has eaten a "Popsicle" (a frozen go-gert). She is resting on the couch along with dad who spent more time up in the night with her...so I guess they are both sleeping it off!

Brandon didn't seem to catch this bug. Ella seems to catch tummy flues real easy! Brandon is just a tough little guy. Last night while having a bath he took a nose die and gave himself a fat lip! I swear he is going to give me grey hairs! he has a new face he makes...and here it is a little blurry but none the less funny!

This is Brandon's New facial expression...he also sniffs making a nose like a dog sniffing something out! It is really funny!

Dad, boys and girls and somewhere in between!

So the latest news on Josh is Besides being a work-a-holic...He has lost about45 lbs. Yep that is a lot. we have been trying to just eat less at meal times we try and get out a bit more and walk around on the week ends and we try to keep busy when we can. that is all. I have only lost 7 But Josh is the Mega winner...he is looking good!

Can just say that Brandon is 110% boy. He is aggressive, strong, tough, and fearless. I was use to this little girl that was easy going and friendly she wasn't much into being kamikaze. Brandon is always climbing and exploring and rough and tumble. He isn't even 10 months and he is walking across the living room. He also will use the wall and walk up and down the hall. He is VERY strong and has a good grip I say that because he grabs for what he wants and it is a struggle to get it back. He is a giggly funny boy and loves to laugh and jump and sing and scream with joy. He does this funny grunt when he wants something or doesn't get his way too. He is very smart also. He says Ella and mommy and daddy. I know that sound unrealistic but it is true. He also thinks that he should eat anything that we eat. he is like a dog and begs. we try to share what soft stuff we can and when we do he is so proud of himself for getting grown up food.

Ella is a real girly girl Well for the most part! She loves dresses, boots, shoes, purses and dressing up. She loves dressing up, dancing, singing, jewelry, her tea set and kitchen. She on the other hand, LOVES Trains, pirates, dirt, dinosaurs and Monsters. She is tough she doesn't really cry when she gets hurt and she can be aggressive. She is super silly and says funny things and tries to get you to laugh. She just started liking Barbies and toys she can ride herself. She also loves to sleep and does not like to get up in the mornings or after naps. She is a fun critter.

Brandon and Ella are inseparable. And they have a lot of fun being silly together Ella gets Brandon laughing the best and he giggles so laud. it is cute to see them together. Ella does have a little evil green jealousy monster on her shoulder sometimes and she will push him over and try to lay on him. But for the most part they are happy and really goo with each other.

They are growing so fast and I love it and I am sad at the same time!

They are good kids and I love them!
